Twelve Angry Jurors - November 14 - November 16, 2013

Colonial Players

 Notes from the Director

A number of adults contributed countless hours to make this fall production a success.  It goes without saying that I appreciate their friendship, time, creative energy, and dedication to the students and to the Colonial Players program.  Melissa Downer (PW Class of ’94) and John Crea, thank you for your countless hours blocking and creating dynamic characters. Your efforts truly show in this final production.  Jordan Sones (’06), thank you for agreeing to perform this year in the round.  Your willingness to always help with more than just our exceptional lighting scheme is amazing and truly appreciated.  Barb Sharavsky, your attention to detail and patience with costumes and make-up always adds a new level of depth to our shows.  Jen Crea continues to keep us all on-point as our Business Manager, and her hard work is always appreciated.  A special thank you goes to Jen Grasso and Rich Evan for lending their unique skills to support the fall production.  To Howard Littman and Joe Cucinotta (aka Daddy): we are so grateful you came out of retirement to build us an amazing table; you made our singular set piece very special.

Deepest gratitude must be given to our Colonial Players parents for their enduring support of Colonial Players and their sons’ and daughters’ love for being on the stage.  A huge thank you goes to the Colonial School District Administrative Staff and PWHS Faculty and Staff for allowing us to continue creating wonderful shows and memories on PW’s stage, thereby keeping the arts alive.  Additionally, a special thank you goes out to Charlie Forster for his unyielding support of our program and to the PW Music Department for its support as we transformed the stage into the round.

Collectively, the cast, crew and staff continue to keep up the Colonial Players tradition of presenting outstanding shows to our community.

Finally, I would like to thank my parents and husband for their love and support.  Aside from being my most loyal and enthusiastic cheerleaders/audience members, my parents often ensure I am well-fed, and Jay provides his sense of humor and continual support of my countless hours away  from home as I explore my passion and love for theatre here at the high school.

Please join us again this spring for our production of In the HeightsNow, unwrap that last piece of candy, turn off your cell phones, and enjoy the show!

Fondly,

Valerie Cucinotta Collado (’97)
