Matilda the Musical JR. - December 08 - December 10, 2022

Collingswood Middle School

 DIRECTOR'S ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

It takes a village (perhaps more appropriately, an entire schoolyeard!) to provide our students with a well-rounded musical theater experience, and I would be remiss if I did not give much deserved acknowledgements to these individuals:

  • Julie Schneider; for organizing our Dine and Donate fundraiser at Jalapeños.
  • Jacquie Horner Revier at Playtime Costumes; for making our students look amazing on our stage.
  • Amy Marzolino and Emily Mason; for necessary assistance with costume organization.
  • Starlite Productions; for light rental and general technical assistance.
  • Terry Seeley and the Borough of Collingswood; for permitting the cast to participate in the annual Collingswood Holiday Parade.
  • Jamie Patterson and Paul Hesley; for volunteering your time (and pick-up trucks) for the Collingswood Holiday Parade.
  • Roger Mgrdichian; for recording our show.
  • Emily Angehr; for taking photos during our dress rehearsals.
  • Daniel Cabrera; for designing our show poster.
  • Neil King; for lending his artistic talents to our theater program.
  • All of our parent volunteers; who assisted backstage, at our box office, helping patrons find their seats, and keeping our cast members fed and hydrated.
  • Keith Higginbotham, Mike Sinesi, and the Collingswood Buildings & Grounds Department; for continuously providing our students with the facilities necessary to produce shows of our caliber.
  • Dr. Fred McDowell, Dr. Jack McMullin, David Olivieri, Regan Kaiden, and the Collingswood Board of Education; for their steadfast support for our theater program and the arts.
  • Our amazing student volunteers assisting behind the scenes; whether you helped with costume organization, painting cakes, moving blocks, helping people find their seats, lighting the alphabet, and everything in between - this show would not have happened without you.
  • All of our families and loved ones; for putting up with our crazy schedules these past few months.
  • Our student directors - Finley Jenne, Amalia Messick, and Corynn Sehulster; for being excellent leaders and role models to the cast members. You have brought so much energy and enthuasium to this show, and we truly could not have pulled it off without your help.
  • The production team - Bryan Gross, LaToya Goodall, Chuck Jackson, Bryan Dickerson, and Erin Daly; for bringing your specialized and brilliant expertise to our production and our students. I could not ask for better colleagues to take this journey with me! Thank you, thank you, thank you.
  • The cast; What can I say about this small army of "revolting children"? Each and every one of you brought something truly special to this show. Whenever I felt overwhelmed with the minutiae of directing, I would be picked back up again by your unmatched energy and enthuasium. It was a pleasure to watch you grow from our very first rehearsal to today. Thank you for trusting me. I'm so proud of you. Much love to you all.
  • Last but not least, YOU - thanks for coming :)
