DIRECTOR'S NOTE
What a fun journey it has been to produce our second show with the Coll Street Players of First Protestant Church! A great big welcome and THANK YOU for coming out to support our production. First Protestant, like all of New Braunfels, has entered a new, joyful season where we are excited to welcome new friends, new projects and more opportunities to enrich and strengthen the faith of our community.
As Bert sings in Act 1:
Winds do change,
Tides can turn,
Sink or swim,
See what you learn…
The Banks family’s journey is one of transformation and in this timely season with the Coll Street Players. Their story provides a mirror for our own transformations. Jane and Michael begin to see the world in a new light as Mary Poppins opens them up to new friends and new experiences in their own neighborhood. George and Winifred face career challenges and the reality of their disconnected family life. As they begin to work together and grow together, they not only unite their family, but bring positive change to their community through Mr. Banks’ professional calling.
Coll Street Players is also transforming - our theatre space, our network of actors, directors and technical experts. We are seeking to offer more opportunities for educational theatre (see our Summer Drama Camp!) as well as adult and teen performances. We are looking to involve more of the community and provide a space for everyone to experience the transforming power of storytelling through theatre.

We hope to see you back again soon!
