Megan Barnes
Set & Costume Design
Megan Barnes has been working with CCS since 2013 and this year will be her seventh year working with the CCS Musical Theatre Department. Barnes completed her Bachelors of Fine Arts in Painting and Drawing at Western Carolina University. Then she went on to graduate with a Masters of Arts in Teaching, with a concentration in Arts Education. She began theater in high school and worked on and off stage over those years. She was the program director for Camp Pisgah, Girl Scout Camp for many years, helping create the camp magic through props, costumes, and sets each week during the summers. She also hosted elementary musical theater summer camps in which her students helped to create the sets and costumes while also being actors and singers on stage. Barnes loves to hang out with her husband and five year old son while not backstage. They love going to the park or staying home playing video games, reading fantasy novels, or watching cooking shows.
