Oliver Jr. - July 26 - July 27, 2024

Charlotte County Children's Theatre

 End Notes

It is difficult to imagine that our cast will never come together again after this weekend. Why? Because they are some of the most outstanding young people I have had the pleasure to work with, not only because of their prodigious skills but also because of the wonderful people they are.

Seeing the support they get from family and friends it is not surprising, I suppose, to understand why they are so full of talent and lovely personality. They are truly outstanding in so many ways. It has been an honor and a privilege to have worked with them.

Agnes Del Castillo, her daughter, Sara, and I have worked together for many, many years. Agnes has been a close friend for decades and when Sara came along and started singing, dancing and acting we shared a hope for her that she would embrace it and run with her talent. Fast forward to 2024 and Sara has a similar hope for many of your children. The three of us want to provide performance experiences to every child we can reach, in hopes it will enrich their lives and develop discipline and most importantly good character and self-esteem.

The world is getting to be a more difficult place to hone your skills in the arts as funding is simply disappearing. If we can do something to provide for young people in our area, then we will do what we can.

We have the brilliant Ms. Jazz who joined us last year and has been incredibly wonderful to work with as she blesses us with her dance skills. And then we have Mr. Sam who is one of very talented graduates who "aged out" and went on to work in tech for a local church, but he comes back to help out the CCCT kids each summer.

Is it possible to thank all of the people and all of the kids enough? Probably not, but please know this...if you contributed your time, treasure, or talent it is greatly appreciated by all of us.

Please come and support the kids throughout the year as they do their seasonal shows. Fundraising efforts are essential to keep us afloat.

Thanks so much  for coming and please spread the word. We are always looking for talented kids, performance opportunities, folks to  help us and fundraising opportunities as well.

Speaking of fundraising, please text DFG to 90412 and take some short, one minute surveys which will take a minute or so each and provide funds for next summer's production.

Love goes out to our seniors "aging out"as they move forward in life.
