Our Town - November 14 - November 16, 2013

Central Bucks High School-West

 Director's Notes

If you could re-visit any day of your life, what would it be?

A birthday?

A wedding?
A goodbye?
A birth?

A graduation?

A promotion?
A reunion?

Or is it a smaller moment?

That moment when you walked in your kitchen and smelled your mom’s brisket?

That moment when you laid next to your sick grandma and read People Magazines with her?

That moment when you sang “Oh, What a Beautiful Mornin’” in a high school show?

That moment when you met that someone special who seemed to be just the perfect match?

That moment when you laughed so hard with your friend over ice cream sundaes that ice cream came out of your nose?

That moment when you stayed in the theater after seeing Finding Neverland and just wept?

That moment when you weighed-in and felt like you finally hit your goal weight?

That moment when you sat at Chipotle for four hours catching up with your best friend?

That moment when your Mom told you she had breast cancer? Or when she celebrated her remission?

That moment when you created the whirlpool by swimming around in circles with your friends?

That moment when your grandmother (who happened to be your best friend) called you her “number one”?

That moment when you put on the shows in your basement during every family get together?

That moment when your Pop-Pop would take you to Wawa to get one “treat” per night?

In Our Town, Emily asks, “Do any human beings ever realize life while they live it?”

I ask you: Do you?

Directing Our Town has been a wonderful experience with a superb, friendly, and motivated cast. Special thanks to Leanne Schrier for her stellar business management (as a rookie!) and to Joe Ohrt for his assistance with music. Also, thanks to the incredibly supportive CB West Administrative Team led by Jason Bucher and to the Administrative Assistants, particularly Sue Stahl and Beth Sanders, for their guidance and support, and to the maintenance team, particularly George Tettemer.

Enjoy the show.
