  • Joy Cain

    Director/Set Design/Costume Design

    Joy Cain is the founding member of Center Place Christian Theatre.  She directed her first mini-musical, “Fish Tales” in 2005 at Center Place Restoration School.  Since then directed 10 musicals for CPRS, including Annie, Disney’s Beauty & the Beast, The Music Man, The Sound of Music, The King & I, Meet Me in St. Louis, Cinderella, Annie, Disney’s The Little Mermaid Jr. & Disney’s Peter Pan, Jr.  She was the assistant director for CPCT’s first production of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers in 2008.  She has directed the 4 most recent CPCT summer shows:  Fiddler on the Roof, OKLAHOMA!, Little Women, & Mary Poppins.  She had the pleasure of teaching 4th grade at CPRS for 11 years, but returned to the practice of Speech-Language Pathology. “I am so very glad to be anxiously engaged in a good cause with such a wonderful board, a host of amazing volunteers and some very talented performers."  Thank you to my husband and family for your love and support.

  • Andrea Alaniz

    Music Director

    Andrea Alaniz has performed various roles with CPCT musicals, as well as CPRS for several years, including props mistress and music director. Andrea is going into her sixth year of teaching music at CPRS. She has taught grades K-12, and is currently teaching music to Elementary and Middle School students. 

  • Kelda Brown

    Choreographer

    Kelda lives in Independence Missouri with her husband, Aaron. She began her dance training when she was six years old at the Ballet Conservatory of Independence. Kelda is thankful for the many opportunities she has had to dance, perform, and train throughout her life. She and her sister, Cassy Glandon, are the owners and co-directors of Pure Dance Studio in Independence Missouri. Kelda desires to use her gifts and talents for God’s purposes and loves to produce beautiful pieces that bring joy to others. She has choreographed for Pure Dance Studio, American Rhythm, Raytown Arts Council, and others. This is her second time choreographing for Center Place Christian Theatre. Kelda wants to give a huge ‘shout out’ to the production team and cast--“thank you for all your hard work and dedication; it’s been a joy working with you this summer!!”
