Theatre is a collaborative work of many artists. Through this collaboration, we are allowed to explore friendships we would not otherwise seek, and learn to problem solve in ways we could not have imagined. True, we come together to present a work of entertainment--but the rewards and lessons are much greater and last long after the applause fades.
I am extremely proud of this production for so many reasons, not the least of which is the fantastic collaborative effort presented onstage in this year's show.
Students, parents, teachers, administrators at both the campus and district level, local/area businesses, and community members have all had a hand in what you see tonight. Schedules have been rearranged, transportation has been organized, sandwiches have been built, supplies found, costumes and props gathered, donations made, and hundreds of potential crises have been averted with discussion and quick-action.
For every hand lent, dollar spent, offer to assist, late meal, on time pick-up/drop-off, new idea, rearranged schedule, and word spread:
I am thankful.
For an incredibly talented, dedicated, and fantastic Fine Arts Staff, Administration, and Faculty:
I am thankful.
For amazing parents who have lent this production time most valuable, and even more so, the time of their children:
I am thankful.
For students whose talents, efforts, and energy know no bounds:
I am thankful.
For my fantastic husband, Mr. D, I am thankful.
For my heart, Zoe, I am thankful.
To be able to proudly present, THE 4TH ANNUAL CCMS FINE ARTS COLLABORATIVE MUSICAL,
GUYS AND DOLLS, JR--
I am honored, humbled, and thankful.
ENJOY THE SHOW!~
