Director's Notes:
Lynne Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty are masters of musical theatre. I am in awe of their diversity, their humanity, and their love of life that is expressed in their music! I can watch their shows on repeat again and again. They are that wonderful!
And like many of us, I grew up on Dr. Seuss. He created worlds of imagination and colors, and invented new words and beings. They weren't always perfect, in fact they usually were flawed. Lots of us know a Horton or a Gertrude, and definitely a Wickersham or two!
So all the pieces of this production just fell together - the right cast in the right roles in the right time -with a lot of work as always. Thank you to all my students past and present, fellow artists, dramamamas, dramadaddys, and theatre friends for showing me your love and support!
I hope this makes you smile. We need more smiles.
See you in Solla Sollew.
