NOTES FROM THE DIRECTOR
I can't believe that it is finally here. All of the hard work, long rehearsals, and strained voices will pay off. From missing steps in choreography practice, to missing cues in blocking rehearsal, the time to shine has been paid for in blood, sweat, and tears.
As a director of high school theatre, I see all levels of skill and talent walk across the boards of Cass High School. I am so proud to say that these students performing tonight have both skill and talent in spades. It is my sincere hope that you enjoy watching The Drowsy Chaperone as much as we enjoyed preparing it.
To my seniors:
It saddens me deeply to see you go but I am excited to see the journey you are about to take. We will miss you here at Cass High School but the stories and memories that you leave behind will last forever. I am, in all honesty, holding back tears as I say that I thank you for the privilege of being your teacher and your director. I love you all very much and I mean it from the bottom of my heart.
To my family:
Thank you for sharing my with these kids. I know that it can be stressful but I think nights like tonight make it all worth it. Your support and understanding is the best and I love you to the moon and back!
To Cass High School:
Thank you for your continued support of the arts and artists. I feel very lucky to have been a Colonel for close to a decade now and I can't imagine a better place to spend my days!
Finally, I would like to dedicate this show to Greg Scott. He didn't much care for the theatre or plays but he did care about our friendship and the kids that spend their time and passion in the theatre and that speaks volumes.
Greg, you are missed friend. Logan did a great job. I know you are proud of him.
