The Music Man - March 22 - March 24, 2018

Carrollton High School

 End Notes

Every once in a while I come across a musical director with a bucket list. They have  shows that they feel they need to do at least once in their musical career. For me, The Music Man is a show that I can personally cross off of my musical bucket list. I fell in love with the show when I was in middle school. I had a wonderful choir teacher who exposed me to the music of the show. I was hooked.

I am so thankful that I have had the opportunity to direct a classic show like The Music Man. I knew starting this year that we would have a large enough cast to do a musical of this calibre. This musical was also appropriate for us to do as it has been sixteen years since Carrollton last put this wonderful show on stage.

I want to say thank you to the following people who give so much support to our music theater program. I do not know where this show would be without you:

-The Friends of Music Booster Program- You help keep me sane, keep organization, and help further the advocacy of music education in Carrollton.

-My students- You bring joy to my life. Thank you for working hard to put on a good performance. Break a leg!

-Traci Tepen, Betti Butler, and Rebecca Steinacher- Thank you for performing miracles to make this show truely magical. I would not be able to do it without you!

-My husband, Austin - Thank you for being so gracious and understanding. I appreciate you for giving up many hours with me at home so I can do what I do best, teach music.

-Lydia Roades- Thank you for stepping in and doing so much for the show. I appreciate that you took a strong lead on the show this year. We greatly appreciate everything you do for our program.

Thanks for coming to our show! We hope you enjoy it!

Musically,

Mrs. Renee Pendry
