Maya has always shown an innate interest in the arts, particularly music, theatre and culinary. The extracurricular theatre activities at school has not only created life long memories and bonds with her teachers and peers but has accelerated her own growth and self-confidence. We are so proud of every member of the theatre club, all their efforts and accomplishments and wish them all the best.

Karsen Clarabut
as The Mother Abbess
Karsen is in the 5th grade and this is her 2nd year to be in Theater Club. She played Biekle, one of the youngest daughters in Fiddler on the Roof, last year. Last summer at Plano Children's Theater, Karsen played the part of Dorothy in Return to Oz. Karsen is a finalist in the Budding Talent Vocal Competition at the Wildflower Festival 2015. Karsen enjoys singing, dancing and being with friends

Heather Hewitt
as Sister Berthe
Heather is in 4th grade and loves science, astronomy, trivia and laughing. A lot. She is ready to take over from Bill Nye and Neil deGrasse Tyson when they are ready. She is outnumbered by brothers; big brothers Michael & Thomas, and little twin brothers, Jack & Bobby. Her best friend and constant shadow is her dog, Coco, whom she adopted from the SPCA for her 9th birthday.

Avery Waddell
as Sister Margaretta
This is Avery's theatric debut as Sister Margaretta. A natural performer, Avery loves to entertain her family and friends. She enjoys all aspects of performance art including dancing, singing, costumes and make up design. When she's not dazzling the crowds, Avery enjoys playing Minecraft and Sims. She also loves hanging out with friends and playing with her dogs, Sophie and Brutus.

Gabriella Ayala
as Sister Sophia
Gabriella Ayala is in 5th grade and enjoys Ballet dancing, singing in the church choir and playing volleyball. Bella’s first experience in the theatre was during the 4th grade production of Fiddler on the Roof. Since that time, she has participated in Wizard of Oz and School of Rock at Art Center Community Theatre. She looks forward to continuing theatre at SMS.
