Hello all and thank you for coming to see our production of Mary Poppins this 2023.
When we undertook Mary Poppins we wanted to bring the energy that we all remembered from Disney to life but with the added context that the musical brings to the stage.
As you watch the show, you’ll quickly notice some differences between the Disney film and the stage performance and we think those are worth experiencing. It’s a story about the redemption of the family and most importantly a story about the undying flame of hope. After the last few years we have experienced as a community and a nation, we think those are worth enjoying and experiencing.
I’d like to thank the vast community that came together to support the production of the show. Oregon City Schools for providing us the auditorium, Oregon Community Theatre for providing their technical expertise and support, Al Fanscali and Brian Ahrns for bringing our vision to life, Alicia Rex and Art in the Community for giving our vision Color, Christine Nieves for supporting our vocalists and concessions, Nikki O’Brien for helping coordinate our props and costumes, Keight Gallina for supporting and mentoring our student choreographers, Kevin Foos for supporting our vocalists and Heather Schneemann for her support and advice to the Directing team.
We hope you enjoy the show.
