Anything Can Happen
It was once again my honor to overese another production of the CCHS drama department. At first, the idea of presenting Mary Poppins brought sweet childhood memories, but I thought of it as a pleasant piece of fluff and almost decided on doing another play. However, after taking a deeper look I realized that Mary Poppins carries a deep and profound messaage about faith and seeing beoynd the "grind, grind, grind" of this present world, and looking towards greater things.
The same could be said for the effort and perseverance of this wonderful group of kids! What you are witnessing in this production has transcended beyond creating a piece of entertainment to what can only be described as a personal triumph for every member of our cast and crew! They pulled through many challenges and exhibited leadership, compassion, growth, determination and compassion. I can't describe how proud I am of each of them, and they did it in such a short time frame.
These guys have taken seriously the chrage to glorify God in what their hand has found to do, and have put their heart into this offering!! We all hope you thoroughly enjoy this production of Mary Poppins!
