C. Julian Jiménez is a Queer, Puerto Rican and Dominican playwright. They hold an MFA in Acting from The Actors Studio Drama School. Playwriting awards include: New Dramatists Residency (Class of 2027), 2017 & 2018 Pipeline Theatre Company PlayLab, 2018 LaGuardia Community College’s LGBTQIA+ History Project Grant, 2015 Queens Arts Council Grant, 2009 Public Theater Emerging Writers Group, and 2014 Best New Work Motif Award. They are a board member of INTAR Theatre.

Georgia McGill
Director
Georgia McGill has taught at QCC for the past twenty-seven years. During that time, she has directed students in many shows. Her outside work, as a playwright and director, has appeared on stages in New York, London, Berlin, Edinburgh, Cyprus, Greece, and Hungary. Professor McGill was the first American director to stage a production at the ancient theater at Epidaurus, Greece. In 2025, she will direct a production of The Immortal Hour featuring an international company of performers, which will return the play to its origins in Glastonbury, UK. She is blessed to be a proud momma and grandma and thanks her family for their loving support. Georgia wishes to extend her appreciation to all her colleagues who have supported this production of Lysistrata and to congratulate all of the students who have worked backstage and on stage for their wonderful work.

Ellen McLaughlin
Playwright
Ellen McLaughlin is an award-winning playwright and actress. Many of her plays besides Lysistrata are adaptations of Greek texts. Among these are: Iphigenia and Other Duaghters, The Trojan Women, Helen, The Perisans, Oedipus, Penelope, Kissing the Floor and Ajax in Iraq. Her other plays not based in Greek Mythology are: A Narrow Bed, Tongue of a Bird, Septimus and Clarissa, Days and Nights Within, and Infinity’s House. She has taught at Princeton University and the Yale School of Drama and since 1995 has taught playwriting at Barnard College. As an actress she is known for originating the role of the Angel in Angels in America; she also collaborated with Tony Kushner in the development of Homebody/Kabul as the Homebody.
