I would like to start by thanking my mom, who gave life to all the brilliant costume ideas in my head. Thanks, Mom, for sharing your sewing expertise and trying over and over again to help my grand ideas a reality! The costumes look amazing thanks to your designs! And thank you for helping me make many of the samples and other costumes! I love you!
Another huge thank you to all the parents who helped sew costumes! Without your help we’d only have enough costumes for Aladdin. Everyone looks amazing and I never would have been able to pull this off without you!
Thank you to Tammy Muñoz and Andrea Scarborough for making a bazillion pants. We needed so many and there’s no way I would have been able to make them all! Thank you!
Thank you to Sheila Guinto and Tammy Muñoz for making vests. The extra touch really finishes off the look! Thank you!
Thank you to Dalia Azim for making the skirts for the dancers. They are so cute and add such fun colors to the show! Thank you for making them a reality!
Thank you to Stephanie Morris for painting primer on the backdrop months ago and for spray painting props as well! I appreciate your help!
To all other parents who offered help or shared encouraging words, thank you for your support!
A huge thank you as well to Emily Mika, who took my harebrained idea of creating a Playbill and Memory Book and combined it into one while raising money for our show, all with little to no help from me, which was a huge weight off my shoulders! Thank you!
An enormous thank you to our newest member of the 5th grade musical family: Coach Null, who volunteered to help teach choreography. It was one less thing for me to find time for and the dances (which I’ll admit, I might have over-choreographed….I got really excited about them!) look amazing! Thank you for taking that on and then getting so into that you volunteered for hair and make-up as well. I hope you know that you’re in this for life now! ;)
Another great big thank you to Ms. Shirey, who incorporated a theatre unit into her Language Arts classes this 9 weeks. It has made a huge different in the quality of the acting since they are really getting into their characters and getting more opportunities to practice their scenes! Thank you so much! And thank you for helping manage costumes and make-up.
Thank you to Ms. Vincent for working with me to choreograph some of the dances and for taking on choreographing and teaching Babkak, Omar, Aladdin, Kassim!
Ms. Rodgers: Welcome to the 5th grade musical! Thanks for all your support and help backstage in rehearsals and performances.
Another thank you to Ms. Kronke for all your support of our music programs through my four years at Bryker Woods. I appreciate your encouragement and support more than you know! Thank you!
Thank you, Ms. Flores, for all your art and sewing expertise and use of your space for painting the backdrop!
And last, but certainly not least, thank you to all my little Agrabahns! You guys have been so enthusiastic about this show from the beginning and that enthusiasm has never waned! When I get tired of costumes and props and all of the behind the scenes work that I do, your beaming faces motivate me to get back to work! I hope you have enjoyed our journey to Agrabah together! There’s a whole new world out there waiting for you, and I can’t wait to see what you do! Love you guys! =)
Thank you!!
