As we bring our 2013-2014 season to an end, In the Heights is the perfect fit. In the Heights is a musical that everyone can relate to. It brings me back to my childhood memories with my amazing grandparents in Hialeah and Calle Ocho. There is something about the Latin culture that drives emotion and love, and Lin-Manuel did an amazing job of putting it all into a musical.
It has been a great pleasure working with this cast. This cast felt like a family from day one, and immediately gave their hearts to this show. Thank you all for your support of Broadway Kids Studio. I dedicate this show to my Abuela Nena, Abuelo Vicente, Abuelo Nino, who all played a major role in my life, and to my Abuela Natalia who still cooks for me, hides her money, treats everyone like family, and makes this musical real life for me.

In the Heights is not only a terrific exciting musical but it's also a great exploration of family, neighborhood, extended family, and friendship. Broadway Kids Studio is an extended family of it's own and I am so happy to have joined with Michelle to create this terrific piece of theater with this amazingly talented cast.

The process of In the Heights has been unique for me. The Latin style of music of the show, regardless of my heritage, is quite unfamiliar for me and became a challenge on it's own.
Thankfully I got to work with a very talented cast that made the process of learning the music smooth and rewarding.
I would like to give a big thank you to the cast for making my job much easier and enjoyable, it's been an unforgettable experience for me to work with you.
To my wife and kids, thank you very much for your patience. I am fortunate to have a family that understands the sacrifices that working in the arts implies.
