Derek Hess
as Aslan
Derek is the son of Steve and Jennifer Hess. A senior at BHS, Derek is the president of Thespian Troupe #7549 and studies voice with Josh Stubbs. He has worked on BHS productions of Once Upon a Mattress, 25th Annual Putnam Country Spelling Bee, Leader of the Pack, Sister Act, Barnum, and Mamma Mia! He is beginning his second year as a member of the Rustic Mechanicals Shakespeare Apprentice Troupe, where he starred in A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Much Ado About Nothing. Derek has participated in many activities and productions with Thespian Troupe #7549, such as award-winning plays like Lovers of Verona, Medea, Bury the Dead, and Star-Crossed Lovers. A lover of film, Derek has also written, directed, and acted in award-winning short films such as Yellow, A Night to Remember, and What Goes Around. During the summer of 2018, Derek was given the unique opportunity to perform as Roy Lee Cooke in Theatre West Virginia’s production of Rocket Boys in Beckley, WV.

Madyia McCullough
as White Witch
Madyia is a junior at Bridgeport High School. She is the daughter of Darren and Candi McCullough and Lucinda and Zack Huffman. She is thrilled to be playing the role of the White Witch in this years production of Narnia. She has previously starred in school productions such as Leader of the Pack, Bury the Dead, and Barnum, and was the stage manager for the senior musical Mamma Mia! Madyia currently serves as the Secretary of Thespian Troupe #7549 and has been involved in the theater programs since her freshman year of high school. Madyia is also an avid athlete. She is a member of the Lady Indians Track and Field team. In 2018, Madyia was crowned the AA State Discus Champion. She would like to thank her family and friends for all their support, and wishes the cast and crew of Narnia the best of luck.
