My first introduction to Company was as a college theatre major when Netflix was streaming the live-recorded version of Company starring Raúl Esparza as Bobby. I fell in love with Sondheim after watching that show - hearing how catchy music with funny situations can also make you think about the complexities of love, loneliness, and life in general. Granted, I was in my early 20s & I definitely had no idea just how poignant this show really was at that time. That's what I love about Company;
anyone can relate to someone in this show at some point in their lives. I know I’ve related to a few different characters for different reasons even here recently. It’s timeless in that way. I’m so excited to be able to bring this show to the BRAC stage & share this story. What’s fantastic about the Branson Regional Arts Council is that there is so much talent in this town! This cast is incredible & I am so thrilled with the story they are able to tell. I hope this story makes you laugh, think, and maybe even cry a little bit. That’s the beauty of theater, you can watch art being performed & feel all the complex emotions of life. I hope you enjoy the show, and be sure to tell all your friends so we can have even more Company! - Loran Polson, Director
