Into the Woods - April 04 - April 15, 2019

Branson Regional Arts Council

   Producers' Note

We at Forte Theatre Productions LLC are so very excited to present our first full-length musical, Into the Woods. This is only made possible by our partnership with the Branson Regional Arts Council and the Historic Owen Theatre.

This Tony Award winning musical is a story of life journeys and humanizes fairy tales.  The cast, crew, and production team have poured hours of their time and their souls into telling a story that they hope inspires you. This production is a work of heart.

Forte is a collaboration of professional actors, artists, and musicians in Southwest Missouri who contribute their time, talents, and passions for the purpose of providing culturally enriching experiences for our community. The actors you see in our production have professional theatre backgrounds, but choose to donate their time and talents to create beautiful theatre. It is an expression of the creativity and beauty that lives inside of them – and inside all of us.

Thanks to you, the audience, we are able to share this experience.

Thanks to our volunteers who donated their precious time so that Into the Woods could become a reality.  Special thanks to Fine Linen in Rolla, MO for sharing costume resources with us.  Thanks to Nick Haney who spent hours filming our promotional videos shared on social media.   Thank you, Dee Uebel for the hours in rehearsal with us!  Sondheim is no joke.  Thanks to the BRAC Board of Directors and the many BRAC members that support, volunteer, and work to provide for a COMMUNITY THEATRE that is for THE COMMUNITY.

But this project would not have been completed without our creative team.

Cori Briggs – your concepts for choreography continue to amaze us all! Brilliant!

Mary Huff – prop building, directing, stage managing…you are a master!

Jonathan and Laura – you make miracles happen on a dime!  Your costume designs are brilliant!

Jacob Estes – we so appreciate you for helping with set design even when you have other projects you are working on.

Nate Frank – you are a brilliant musical technician but even more brilliant is your servant’s heart for our cast! Thanks for music directing a challenging but genius Sondheim musical.

And last but certainly not least, oh captain my captain, our director Justin Ables.  You have a heart for people, a passion for the work, and a brilliant creativity that is a joy and honor to work with.  You are a person we are all ready to fall on a sword for!  Thank you for your patience, your work ethic, and your collaborative spirit.  It is always a joy to tell stories with you!

Enjoy the show!
