Notes from the Director

First, I want to thank GOD for ensuring this production came to fruition. There were days when I thought we weren't going to make it, and here we are!

Next, I want to thank all of the students who participated in this production on and off stage.  Every runner, costume hand, cast member, student percussionist, understudy, EVERYONE.  Your sacrifice has not gone unnoticed.  I appreciate you displaying maturity and committment during this production.  You should be proud of the work you have put in.

Thank you to every pit musician and singer for bringing something special to the music.

To all of the Seniors:  Thank you so much for being a part of this production and making memories with this show as your last hurrah! You will be sorely missed.

  • To Marcus: I will miss you most! It has such a pleasure working with you and getting to know you over the past three productions. I know you have a very bright future ahead and I wish you the very best in all of your future endeavors.
  • To Christine: What a treasure! I am so glad I had the opportunity to see you on stage before you graduated.  I only wish we had more time together. Thank you so much for sharing your gift with us!
  • To Bezejouh: It was such a pleasure to see you grow as a singer, actor, and musician. Luckily, we still have a few more performances together. Keep singing and loving music!

To Kalilah:  You have been an AMAZING stage manager! Your commitment to this production has truly been inspiring. I know it was a little stressful at times, but you adjusted, matured, and overcame! I am SO VERY PROUD of you.  Can't wait to see how you blossom in our next production.

Ms. Henry and Mr. Jones: Thank you so much for all that you contributed to this show.  it was a pleasure working with you and our students feel the same way! They will never forget the experience they had with you.

Last, but not least, the staff of the Bowie Center for Performing Arts: I have thoroughly enjoyed working with you and learning from you.  You are truly doing God's work.  You are the heartbeat of this theater and I could not have done this without.  Thank you for your assistance and insight. I am truly grateful.
