A parfumerie in 1930s Hungary is the setting for this romantic comedy musical about the various ways love can present itself. Georg Nowack and his coworkers live quiet, average lives as sales clerks in a little boutique in Budapest, but tensions in the shop begin to escalate as soon as Amalia Balash shows up looking for a job. As Georg and Amalia grow to hate each other more and more, they find comfort in the letters they receive through the Lonely Hearts Club, an anonymous romantic pen-pal service. But how will they react when they discover that the identity of their Dear Friend is the last person they would expect? Can Georg and Amalia reconcile their simultaneous love and hate for each other?
Masks will be required to be worn by all audience members at all times in the theater.
