ABOUT THE THEATER
Shades Repertory Theater was started in 1994 by award-winning playwright Samuel Harps and Actor-Director Tony Ortiz. After it's first major production in 2004 (John Patrick Shanley's "Italian American Reconciliation"), Shades has gone on to produce many full length plays and numerous one act plays. With a focus on new works, their Bi-annual One Act Festival showcases works by new and established playwrights in the Tri-State area.
The Repertory Theater moved to Haverstraw in 2002 when the Haverstraw Youth Theater was born. Haverstraw Youth Theater has staged many full length productions, which deal with topical issues faced by our youth.
