Carrie Mills
Director/Choreographer
Ms. Mills originally hails from Allentown, PA and earned her B.A. in Theatre from Penn State and her M.F.A. in Theatre for Young Audiences from Arizona State University. She has worked onstage and in the education departments of regional theatres across the country including The Utah Shakespearean Festival, Missoula Children's Theatre, People's Light & Theatre Company, and Asolo Repertory Theatre. She made the leap from the professional theatre world to the classroom in 2007 and teaches the Drama and Musical Theatre classes at BMS while also serving as the VPA Curriculum Leader. In addition to teaching fulltime, she’s worked locally in Sarasota with Musicians Out of the Box, The Players Theatre, The Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall, and Venice Theatre. She would like to thank Lorenzo, Henry, and Alice for their support and understanding and offers heartfelt shout outs to Thomas Thai for the shared vision and Christine Reagan for keeping her sane.

Thomas Thai
Musical Director
Thomas Thai is the current Choir Director at Booker Middle School in Sarasota, Florida. Holding a Bachelor of Music Education (Choral) from the Florida State University, Mr. Thai brings expertise in vocal technique, ensemble leadership, and musical direction. Mr. Thai would like to thank Mrs. Mills and the cast of Something Rotten Jr. for their continued dedication, support, and for making his first year at Booker Middle incredibly special.

Brian Curl
Choreographer
Brian Curl is a professional teaching artist, actor, choreographer, director, and producer. Since 2008, Brian has been traveling the world teaching at conferences, high schools, and universities. As an actor, he has performed in 49 of the 50 states as well as off-broadway, off-off-broadway, regional theaters, summer stock theaters, and Walt Disney World. In 2019, Brian founded daily8count.com, an online choreography education tool for the classroom. Brian is also a proud founding member of the Teaching Artist Alliance.
