Thomas Gerber
Musical Director
Tom Gerber is currently in his fifth year as Music Director at Bishop England High School where he has thoroughly enjoyed preparing a wide variety of musicals with the exceptionally talented students of BE! Of all the musicals done during his tenure at BE, Newsies has been one of the highlights – we are so excited to present it to you all! One of his fondest memories at BE is taking the choir to New York to make its Carnegie Hall debut in 2019 singing Lauridsen’s Lux Aeterna and Menefield’s Prism. In addition to his role at BE, Gerber also serves as the Associate Conductor of the Charleston Symphony Chorus where he has had the opportunity to prepare Handel’s Messiah as well as Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Mr. Gerber received his B.A. in Music Education from Luther College in Decorah, IA and the M.M. in Choral Conducting from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music.

It was at WGHS where she developed an interest in theatre and became the faculty sponsor for props, makeup and costumes.
