David graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor of Science in Design. After college he lived and worked in New York City for 12 years before moving to the Vail valley. This is his fifth year as director/production manager at Battle Mountain High School after previously being a parent volunteer on BMHS Players productions since 2012. Locally he has also worked on productions for Homestake Peak School and the Vail Valley Theatre Company. While living in New York City he served as a stage manager/assistant technical director on two Off Off-Broadway productions. He would like to thank his wife Leah, son August and his two dogs, Bear and Jack-Jack for their support, encouragement and love. A special thanks to his co-directors Levi and Caitlin, and also our awesome stage managers, Lisa Overy and Jenna Kisker. "It was awesome to see the growth of the actors in this challenging production."

    Caitlin Almond

    Co-Director

I became involved in theatre my freshman year of high school and haven't stopped since. I attended Pittsburg State University where I earned a Bachelor's in Theatre Education and a Master's degree in Theatre where I focused on directing. I have directed over a dozen full length theatre productions since college, as well as a handful of children's theatre and improv comedy productions in both Kansas and Salt Lake City. I have been a theatre educator for seven years and love bringing stories to life on the stage and sharing my passion for the arts with young people. I feel honored to work with the students at Battle Mountain and to help them grow as both artists and people. During the day, I teach language arts and social studies at Berry Creek Middle School. I also have a passion for photography, travel, and snowboarding.
