Liana Bekker
Producer
Liana Bekker is very excited to be co-producing Babbling Brook Player’s Taming of the Shrew after directing last season’s production of Much Ado About Nothing and prior to that assistant directing A Mid-Summer Night's Dream and Twelfth Night. Her previous works include: Crystal in Beyond Redemption’s at Player’s Guild of Leonia Sarah Johnson in the “Decisions, Decisions” at Shades Rep Theater; Lady Macbeth in Spring Monologues Comp. at Manhattan Rep Theater; Bianca in Bergen County Players, “Let’s Murder Marsha"; Meadow in Harrison Players, “Who Killed Elvis?”; Maria in Babbling Brook Players, “Twelfth Night"; Julia in “Hardware Diaries” at the Art Academy of Westchester and Manhattan Rep. She spent two summers with Lawn Chair Theater appearing as Ursula in Shakespeare’s, “Much Ado About Nothing” and Audrey in “As You Like It.", and was seen in Schooling Giacomo as Charlene at Elmwood Playhouse. Liana is an MSW, a BC Holistic Psychotherapist, and full-time mom.

George is excited to be back for another Babbling Brook Players summer and to share the producing credit with his better half. Thank you to the cast, crew and director for sharing your talents, and all the hard work and dedication to the arts. Break a leg!!!

Derek Tarson
Director
Derek Tarson is very happy to have been chosen as a director for the Babbling Brook Players this year. He has been directing since 1981, and, most recently, directed "The Velveteen Rabbit" at Elmwood Playhouse and "The Man Who Came To Dinner" at Antrim Playhouse. This is the second Shakespeare play that Derek has directed - the first having been "Much Ado About Nothin'" at Elmwood Playhouse in 2011. When he is not directing or acting, Derek is an attorney with the Legal Aid Society of Rockland County.
