My goal with Peter Pan—and all my past shows—is to transport the audience to another world. We have shivered from the snowy chill in Narnia, bopped along at the soda shop daydream in Grease, felt the swoosh from the Ghost of Christmas Future soaring above us, and searched for a way home through the enchanted world of Oz. Now we're off to Neverland to fight the Pirates alongside Peter Pan and the Lost Boys!
Needless to say, but I LOVE my job!!
But I could not accomplish this all on my own. I have an incredibly talented support team consisting of AJ Womack, Mr. Zimmerman (Papa), Mrs. Zimmerman (Granny), Martin Murphy, Jeff and Michele Neely, Charlotte Pavillard (Nana), Robert Koury, Linda Gantt, and all the parent volunteers who have spent many hours helping with set, sewing, running lines with a cast member, selling ads, buying and/or selling tickets, and bringing their student to or picking them up from rehearsal without complaint. I would love to list them all by name and all they have done, but there is no way to include everything without this Playbill turning into the size of a novel.
I would like to give a special thank you to Mr. Larry Gantt and Mr. Travis Lewis for helping to see the vision of the show and working tirelessly to bring that vision to life, and to Randa Goode and Lisa Crabtree for the creation of this beautiful program and for being my biggest cheerleaders through it all.
Thank you to Dr. Lea, the Azle I.S.D. School Board, and Mr. Robinson for your continued support and knowing that Fine Arts play such an important role in a student’s overall development, and for allowing me to put on bigger and better productions each year. I would also like to express my gratitude to all the students who have put in a tremendous amount of effort behind the scenes and on stage.
Thank you to my Drama Boosters who organized the shirt orders, brought food during the dinners of Tech Week, gathered bios and pictures for the Playbill, donated items for concessions and all the other behind the scene things that help make the experience of the patrons that much better.
To my husband, Jeremy, and our three beautiful children: Brianna, Dylan, and Alyssa. Thank you for your continued love, support, and late family dinners. You are my life and my blessings.
And lastly, but not least, I would like to thank you—the patron—for coming to see the show. All the hard work listed above would be in vain if we did not have an audience.
I truly hope you ENJOY THE SHOW!
