DIRECTOR'S NOTES-Ken Hill
“Cabaret” is one of the undisputed masterpieces of Bob Fosse. Apparently, Fosse’s mind regarding musicals and dance and theatre in general was wide ranging and inclusive, as was often the subject matter of his best work: “In 1957, both Verdon and Fosse were studying with Stanford Meisner to develop a better acting technique for themselves. According to Michael Joosten, Fosse once said:
"The time to sing is when your emotional level is too high to just speak anymore, and the time to dance is when your emotions are just to strong to only sing about how you 'feel.'" (Wikipedia, Bob Fosse)
We hope that we have contributed, if only slightly, to Fosse’s intentions, and humbly and graciously offer our homage to one of the greatest minds of the Theatre—musical or otherwise—with tonight’s production. “In here, life is beautiful.”

CHOREOGRAPHER'S NOTES-Roni Grandell
As choreographer and board member for our new Axiom Repertory Theatre Company, I want to express how excited I am that you are here to experience A.R.T’s first musical venture! I have thoroughly enjoyed working with so many talented people, from the Directors, to the cast, and to the production crew.
This creative project has been such a rewarding challenge for me and I want to thank Mr. Ken Hill for having the faith in me to take that step out of my comfort zone.
So please, sit back and enjoy the culmination of countless hours of dedication and hard work. When here in the Kit Kat Klub, leave your troubles outside because, here, in the Kit Kat Klub, “Life is beautiful!”
