Vanessa Strahan
Director
Vanessa Strahan (Director, she/her) is delighted to serve as Theatre Aspen's Director of Secondary Education and the Theatre Director at Aspen High School. With Theatre Aspen she has directed Twelve Angry Jurors, The Drowsy Chaperone, Twelfth Night, and You on the Moors Now, and choreographed Urinetown. She previously lived in Chicago, where she served as the Education Director for Mudlark Theater and worked as a director, teaching artist, choreographer, playwright, and performer for several theatre and dance companies throughout the city. She is a graduate of Northwestern University, where she studied Theatre, Musical Theatre, Choreography, and Political Science. Her theatre and dance pedagogy are grounded in inclusive and accessible community-based practices, curated risk taking, and resiliency, through which she works to facilitate spaces where young people can become better communicators and collaborators.

Dory Light
Music Director
Dory Light moved to Colorado from Philly in 2002, after a successful career as a music theatre director,vocal coach, and church organist. She established Light House Studio and teaches voice in New Castle and Aspen. She is the music director for Aspen Community Church and you have seen her directing orperforming for Theatre Aspen, Aspen Community Theatre, Aspen Choral Society, Sopris Theatre Company and various school/children’s theatre productions in the area. Dory lives in New Castle with her husband, David, and their husky/black lab, Cyrus.

Luke Ryan
Choreographer
Luke is an actor, choreographer, and director. NYC and regional theatre performance credits include: An American in Paris, Elf (Argyle Theatre), Mary Poppins (Franklin Performing Arts Company) Meet Me In St. Louis, Summer Cabaret Series (Theatre Aspen), Cabaret (Peregrine Theatre, Broadway World Award Best Musical).
