As an actor, an educator and an advocate for Theatre and Arts Education, I have been delighted with the opportunity to teach students the basics in theatre arts for the past 3 years. Arts Education offers students an outlet for higher-level skills (creativity), problem solving, public speaking, and critical thinking. It is an avenue in which to see and feel the beauty inherent in shape, color, harmony and movement. Arts education; very much aligned with Common Core and Career Readiness, if you ask me!
