  • Amanda Oakley Hort

    Choreographer

    Amanda Oakley Hort is a scholarship graduate of the UNC School of the Arts with a BFA in Contemporary Dance Performance.  For the past 17 years, she has traveled across the Carolinas teaching, choreographing and inspiring dancers of all ages.  Amanda discovered her love for teaching as a faculty member at East Carolina University (2002-2005) and as a dance educator in the Onslow County Schools (2005-2007).  She has served as a guest artist for the SC Governor’s School, the SERBA Festival, and at numerous schools on the east coast including the Magnolia Arts Center in Greenville.  Amanda is the founder and former director (2007-2015) of the national award-winning Step Ahead Dance Company, and has been on faculty at the NC Academy of Dance Arts in Greenville since 2002.  Amanda is honored to have been recently named to the Board of Directors for the NC Association for Scholastic Activities.

  • Eulalia VanFosson

    Orchestra

    Eulalia Ayers VanFosson graduated magna cum laude with a bachelors of music degree from Florida State University in viola performance.   She also holds a master's degree in Music Therapy from Florida State and a master's in Suzuki Pedagogy from East Carolina University. Since moving to North Carolina, she has operated a private Viola and Violin Studio in Pitt County. She has performed with the Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra, Florida State Symphony, the Tar River Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Wilmington Symphony Orchestra. Before taking her dream job at Parrott in 2006, Mrs. VanFosson was the Assistant Director of the North Carolina Suzuki Institute. Mrs. VanFosson would like to thank her husband and parents for their never-ending support, love, and patience, her children Carmala, Daniel, Annaliese, and Gabriella for adding sunshine to every day, and the Theurer family for being her lifelong teachers, mentors, and friends.
