I first saw the Broadway production of Blood Brothers at the age of 19 and it made a huge impression on me. It was my first trip to Broadway and I had never heard of the show but got a discounted ticket and in I went. The show at that time starred Petula Clark as Mrs. Johnstone and David and Shaun Cassidy as Mickey and Eddie. When I left the theatre that day, I was a changed human being! I ended up seeing the show 3 times that week. I couldn’t get it out of my head. The characters and the music stayed with me. The show was tragic, but more than that, it was joyful! I had no idea that one day I would go on to direct the show myself. Being able to bring the show home to the Ansonia is a dream come true for me. I'm so grateful to all the cast and crew for their hard work and dedication. Thank you all for taking this journey with me and thank you to all of you who support the arts. I hope this powerful story stays with you for years to come.
