Sydney Blanchette
Stage Manager
Sydney has been involved in stage productions since a very young age. She has performed with ACT Theatre Company, The Doherty Middle School Drama Club, AYS TheatreWorks, and has been a member of the AHS Theatre Guild since freshman year. Her favorite AHS role to date was “Sibling” in the 2024 drama fest show, Into the Sun with Certainty, which went to the METG finals in Boston last winter. In the last few years, Sydney has discovered a love of ‘behind the scenes’ as the stage manager for RENT and currently, Into the Woods at AHS. She has also helped with various productions at The Misfits Artist Company. Next fall Sydney will be traveling the world with the EF Gap Year program based out of Cambridge.

This is my 4th year doing tech for the Theatre Guild and I still love it! This program has helped me grow as a person and as a tech crew member. I am so grateful to Mrs.Choquette for giving me the opportunity throughout the years. I am also thankful to Scott Worthley for helping me learn and grow as a tech crew member. I would not be where I am today without them. I would also like to thank my dad for always supporting me throughout all the late nights and long weeks of productions. He has always been there for me, and I love him for it. I would also like to thank my mother for always supporting me no matter what it took. She was always there, showing up at my shows and supporting me through them. Thank you, Mom, I love you. Last but not least, I thank my friends that I have met in this program for making the long days and long tech weeks more fun and enjoyable. Without them, I don’t think I would have made it through those weeks.

Hi! I've been involved in theater for most of my life. My favorite event at AHS is DramaFest. Outside of theater, I am VP of the Environmental Club, and I enjoy volunteering with them at trail and beach clean-ups. I love baking for my friends and reading when I have time. I love my sisters June and Flo who I hope stay involved in theater in high school as well.
