Holy Names Academy

 Crew Who's Who

  • Sarah Aanderud Wahlen, Director

Director of Theatre & Film at Holy Names Academy, Ms Wahlen has long been involved with theatre & production in various arenas. She has served as an Executive Producer for the Miss America Organization for over ten years. In addition, she previously worked at KIRO TV in Seattle and is an Emmy-nominated journalist who continues to freelance in the area. Ms Wahlen teaches theology at HNA and is currently completing a Masters in Divinity at Seattle University. She lives on Vashon with her beloved husband, Paul & enjoys playing aspiring chef, reading and travel. For information about the Holy Names Academy Theatre & Film Department, please contact Ms Wahlen via email: swahlen@holynames-sea.org

  • Jamea Nielsen, Stage Manager

Jamea, a senior, has been a fundamental part of the success of the Holy Names theatre program in her years as a student. She is an expert in the booth, knows how to keep a rehearsal running and is a star at finding props. We are so appreciative of all of her hard work and efforts.

  • Helen Kuhar, Stage Manager

Helen, a junior, has worked as an assistant stage manager for two years at Holy Names Academy. She has worked many different shows including the musical 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and Love Death and The Prom. She is excited to have had the opportunity to manage the amazing actors and actresses featured in Stage Door. Helen would especially like to thank Ms.Wahlen for all the hard work she has put in to make this production possible.

  • Emma Hamlin, Costume Design

Emma Hamlin, a senior, is in charge of costumes. She has never costumed people, and is not involved in theatre, but she does like vintage fashion a lot. Apparently, that was enough to make her qualified for this position. She plans to costume for future HNA productions, and thanks the cast for their awesomeness!
