 Who's Who

  • De'Andre Birtha head shot

    De'Andre Birtha

    as Aladdin

My favorite thing about being in a musical is collaborating with people and pretending I'm a character.  Performing makes me feel confident.  I like my role because it fits my personality and characteristics.  I love UPCA because my old school did not have Dance, STEAM or Drama.

  • Chelesa Martin head shot

    Chelesa Martin

    as Genie

My favorite thing about being in a musical is that you can really get into your character.  You have full control over your character.  Performing makes me feel amazing, being on stage with all eyes on you.  I like my role because I feel I can relate to the Genie.  I'm extremely extra, and love to at least try to make people happy.  The story of Aladdin is amazing!  It's energetic and witty.

  • Sierra Richardson head shot

    Sierra Richardson

    as Iago

My favorite thing about being in a musical is trying to be the character, in my case, a bird.  I say the lines at home and talk like a bird.  I like my role because Iago is funny and weird like me, so I can be myself!  The story of Aladdin is the coolest one to me.  It shows us that girls are strong too.  UPCA is a good school for young actors to learn and be in a play.

  • Keyshaun Ferguson head shot

    Keyshaun Ferguson

    as Jafar

My favorite thing about being in a musical is singing.  Performing makes me feel confident.  The story of Aladdin is about romance and adventure.  My time at UPCA has been phenomenal!

  • Destiny McManus head shot

    Destiny McManus

    as Jasmine

My favorite thing about being in a musical is being able to put the emotions into a character.  Performing makes me feel loose because I get to persue my dream of acting.  I like my role because I get to play a princess, and I love princesses.  The story of Aladdin is beautiful because Aladdin and Jasmine fall in love, and I think that is amazing.
