Some of her favorite stage roles include Alma (Summer and Smoke), Gertrude (Seussical), Joanne (RENT), and Narrator (Joseph…Dreamcoat).Thank you to Adam and everyone at The Company who helped make her lifelong dream of playing Tracy become a reality!

  • Chad Gearig-Howe

    as Corny Collins

This is Chad’s second show performing and first time vocal directing for The Company. Previously he was seen playing Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors, one of his top five dream roles! Chad is new to the New Orleans theater and performing scene, but is loving every moment he gets to be on stage. He was also recently scene in The Cutting Edge Theater’s production of The Great American Trailer Park the Musical, as Norbert, and can be seen in one of the “other” Hairsprays in the area in the coming weeks! Chad would like to thank the cast, crew and directors for making this one of the most thrilling productions of his life. He is beyond proud of the work that everyone has put into this show and hopes that everyone has a great time! He also wants to thank his family, and especially his husband, Thom, for supporting him and letting him live this crazy actor life. Love you, Thom!

  • Dale Wood

    as Edna

In the past I have been a Wolf (Into the Woods) and a crooner (Grease) with The Company, but never before have I put on a little touch of lipstick and high-heel shoes. Thank you to my wife Amy and four children (Lyra, Elliot, Oliver and Asher). To all the various mothers in my life, you are all with me on stage as I try my best to become who you expertly are every day. Thanks.

  • Vieta Collins

    as Penny Pingleton

Vieta (Penny) is a junior in college, majoring in fine art photography and alumni from the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts (NOCCA), where she studied musical theatre. She is very thankful that you're here to see her perform in Hairspray, and she isn't very good at writing bios for playbills... With that said, enjoy the show!
