Cody is a multiple award-winning actor, director, and designer. He serves as the Executive Artistic Director of CharACTers Theatrics in Gadsden, AL. He holds an M.A. in Theatre Arts Education for College and Communities from Regent University and a B.S. in English Language Arts Secondary Education from Jacksonville State University. His directing resume includes more than 50 productions including the Alabama premiere of Big Fish the Musical, Spamalot, Peter Pan, Ragtime, Shrek the Musical, Mary Poppins, winner of two IMEA Awards in 2016, and Les Miserables winner of three IMEA Theatre awards in 2015. He is married to fellow theatre artist, Santana Carlton, who serves as the artistic director for the national award-winning musical theatre children’s troupe, CCT Kids. Cody and Santana are expecting their first child in September. Outside of the theatre, Cody also teaches 9th and 11th grade AP English and Drama at Gadsden City High School.
Debra has been involved with CharACTers since 2012. Debra has volunteered backstage, made costumes, constructed sets, advertised, raised funds, and performed in several productions. To her, CharACTers is an organization her entire family can get involved with. Three of her children have performed with CharACTers, and two of her other children have helped with set construction and backstage.
Brandon is currently a student at JSU. He has marched in the JSU Marching Southerners for four years and designed sound for A Dead Man’s Cell Phone at JSU and lighting for CAST productions of Rocky Horror, Anything Goes, and Oklahoma! His most recent design for CharACTers include Godspell and A Midsummer Night’s Dream. He currently is a technician at Wallace Hall Fine Arts Center.
Jordan Kendrick is thankful for the opportunity to work on another CharACTers' production. She currently works in management at FLD Landscaping & Garden Shop. Jordan enjoys dancing, writing music, creating art, and doing costume makeup in her free time. She is married to Wesley Kendrick.
