  • Danny Ritz '19

    as Freddie Trumper

    Danny is so excited to play the role of Freddie Trumper in the Belfry’s Production of Chess. He has enjoyed all of his previous roles in the Belfry Club, ranging from an energetic monkey in Seussical, the conflicted statesman Brutus in Julius Caesar, the rebellious intellectual Melchior in Spring Awakening, and more. Outside of the theater, he enjoys cooking with too much butter, doing yoga with his parents, starting books, and more. He is deeply grateful for the incredible love and support he has received from his family, friends, teachers, and castmates. As he looks towards college in the upcoming year, he cherishes the community of care and compassion that the Belfry has fostered. Special thanks to M,D,B,S,O,Z,I,K,O and company 7. To mom mom: see you in the morning! To pop-pop: Power to the people!

    Chess has been one of the most ambitious productions I have taken on. I am thrilled to perform this show as it has pushed the whole cast beyond our limits and has helped us grow both as performers and as a team. I plan to pursue neuroscience and the performing arts in college. I want to sincerely thank K, Jim, Maria, Lexa, Jacqueline, Paul, our stage crew, and our pit band for making this immense spectacle of a show possible!

    as Alexander Molokov

    Max has been a part of belfry since his freshman year. He has performed in 7 shows in high school. Some of his favorite performances include playing Decius Brutus in Julius Caesar, Richard Rich in a Man for All Seasons, and Hanschen in Spring Awakening. Max hopes to deliver an exciting performance tonight in his final musical performance.
