  • Derek Woods

    Director

    Derek and wife Becky Lillie Woods founded The Riverdale Children's Theatre in 2010. Since then RCT has produced over 40 full stage productions, touching the lives of hundreds of families in the Bronx and beyond. Among his other credits, he received an Emmy nomination in 2010 as the writer and director of the acclaimed documentary “Memory Brings Us Back: Irish Stories of Farewells and Fortunes.”

  • James Merillat

    Music Director

    is delighted to be working with RCT on Sister Act, having previously acted as music director for 42nd Street and Thoroughly Modern Millie, and spent several memorable summers working on the staff for RCT's Summer Lights. In addition to Music Directing, James is also a writer/composer and a proud member of the Dramatist's Guild.

  • Justina Ercole

    Choreographer

    is a NYC based actor/choreographer who has been with RCT since 2013. Select RCT credits include: 42nd Street, Joseph, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Wizard of Oz, and Annie. Justina has performed and choreographed at regional theaters across the country and teaches at Broadway Bodies in Chelsea. BA in Theatre from Temple University. www.justinaercole.com

  • Antonia Barba

    Costume Design

    Antonia is proud to have been with RCT since its inaugural show, The Wizard of Oz (Wicked Witch). She directed RCT’s 1st Spotlight Production 101 Dalmatians Kids and has since directed A Year with Frog & Toad & Cinderella. She has taught Broadway Babies & Kids, and appeared in Annie (Grace) & Peter Pan (Mrs. Darling). Antonia also loves helping others, as she is a Clinical Social Worker.

  • Dale Smallwood

    Production Coordinator

    Dale is excited to once again be working with RTC. Stage management credits include over 30 productions with The Pearl Theatre Company, NYC, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Caucasian Chalk Circle, Stage Door (The New School for Drama, NYC); Hannah, Follow Me to Nellie’s, Rabbit Hole, Regrets Only (Premiere Stages, NJ), The Tempest (Shakespeare on the Sound, CT).
