Karl Pratt
Stage/Music Director
is making his directorial debut as stage director, though last year he served as music director of Shrek The Musical. He has enjoyed the opportunity to learn and grow as a musician with this wonderful group of talented actors, singers and dancers. A native of Hoxie, Karl graduated from FHSU in 2014 with a B.M. in vocal performance. He has extensive musical and opera credits to his name. Favorite roles include Nicely Nicely Johnson in Guys and Dolls and Mitch Mahoney in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. Opera credits include Nemorino in The Elixir of Love, The Witch in Hansel and Gretel, Pierre in The Wandering Scholar, Orfeo in L’orfeo and Cedrick Prestwich in The Impresario. Karl is the communications coordinator at the FHSU Alumni Association. In his spare time, he enjoys teaching private piano and voice lessons, in addition to traveling and spending time with family and friends.

Nicholas Naasz
Assistant Director
is a graduate of Fort Hays State University, and works for High Plains Mental Health Center. He first became involved with the Hays Community Theatre in this past winter’s Christmas show. Nicholas is excited to continue his involvement with HCT as assistant director of Mary Poppins.

Abigail Staab
Choreographer
has been involved in eleven productions between TMP, HCT, and FHSU. Her favorite role was Holly in TMP’s production of The Wedding Singer. This is the third production that she has choreographed for HCT. She is a teacher at Plainville Elementary School and has been a teacher and choreographer at Becky’s School of Dance for the past ten years.
