Kirk Vanda
as Gomez
Kirk is grateful to the dark forces that brought him to Stage 284 and to this disturbing and wonderful character, Gomez. Only in his wildest nightmares did he hope for such a sinister opportunity—and never with so little bloodshed. Recently Kirk was a legless puppet, Rod, in Avenue Q (Firehouse Center for the Arts). For balance, he was an extremely leggy Karl, the Giant, in Big Fish (The Umbrella Theater). Kirk extracted intense satisfaction as Orin Scrivello, DDS in Little Shop of Horrors (Marblehead Little Theatre). But it all started with a turn as Herman, Berlin’s premier third runner-up Kit Kat boy in Cabaret (Marblehead Little Theatre). Kirk would like to thank Bobby, Joe, Kelly and his cast mates for their misplaced trust and simmering regret. And, Kirk thanks Ryan, his very own dark and stormy night. Contemplating death has never been sweeter than it is with you—so many options, but we can only do it once. Que lastima.
