Welcome to our 2018/19 Season! We’re happy to see so many familiar faces and friends returning this year as well as newcomers to our DTW family. We have an exciting year planned with lots of great entertainment, education, classes and our ever-expanding KidsWorks program.

     Over the summer we were pleased to see our KidsWorks program grow from 33 students the previous year to 120 kids and teens this year. We’re expanding our offering for summer 2019 to three shows and will be accepting over 200 enthusiastic young thespians. Our partnership with Elite Academic Charter School will again allow FREE tuition for any students that want to attend by enrolling with them for the summer. Desert Theatreworks also offers a Fall and Spring program on Saturdays that we encourage you to check out.

    DTW also received some very good news this past month. Desert TheatreWorks has been nominated for 39 Desert Start Awards including 4 Outstanding Productions, 15 Outstanding Lead Actor/Actress and 9 Outstanding Direction nominations. DTW was voted Best of the Best by Palm Springs Life for live theater in Indio. Finally, we will be receiving the Best Non-Profit of the Year Award this year on behalf of the Greater Coachella Valley Chamber of Commerce!

     All-in-all, I couldn’t be prouder of the achievements and the work that DTW has done this past year and I’m looking forward to the new and imaginative heights we will reach this year. To keep up this pace of growth we are asking our loyal customer and community to get more involved and help support our efforts to bring the arts to the Eastern Coachella Valley. You can support us through a monetary donation as an individual or a corporate sponsor. We have a very thoughtful donor and sponsor package which any of our DTW staff members would be happy to speak with you about. It’s only through your support will we be able to continue the award-winning work that we do.

     We hope you continue to come back this season and enjoy any of the myriad of offerings that we have. I also hope you will consider contributing to our non-profit, so we can keep up the good work here at DTW and continue to inspire the young and the young at heart.
