Maria Capp
Director/Writer
Maria has been actively involved in entertainment and the arts for over 20 years. Her multi-disciplinary expertise includes work as an award-winning writer, director, producer, entrepreneur, and acting coach. She has served as an advocate, speaker, committee and board member for such organizations as Breaking into Hollywood, Youth Biz Alliance, NYSTEA, EdTA, BOCES – Arts in Education, and Kids for Kids Productions. Maria has just completed post-production on her feature film, REACH (Best Feature Screenplay – Hollywood & Vine FF) and in post-production on the documentary film, FIND AN IDENTITY, which she wrote and directed. Both films will be released in 2018. Maria is grateful to return to her first love, the stage, especially with the opportunity to work with such an amazing cast, crew and production team.
Mel Newman
Costume Design
Mel has a Master’s Degree in Music Education and Performance. She has been a music educator for over 20 years, as well as private voice and piano teacher. She has coached students who have had great success on Broadway, national tours, The X Factor and American Idol. She has been involved in numerous theatrical productions as Musical Director, Director, costumer and performer. Mel has spent the last 3 ½ years coaching and arranging music for her son’s band Forever in Your Mind. Thanks to her sister Maria for her creativity and leading the way, Joanna for her support and partnership, her talented nieces and daughter, Emily. A special thank you to her loving father Tom, for his unwavering support on this endeavor and her incredible husband Michael, for his unending love. This project is dedicated to the memory of one of the most selfless women she has had the honor of knowing, her Mother Millie, whose love and laughter she misses every minute of every day.
