Following not only the yellow brick road, but 5 older siblings, Sophia has grown up watching ACS musicals, playing dress up in their costumes, & painting sets. Now in her 2nd play, she enjoys sharing the footlights as well. Homeschooled, Sophia is a member of CSRA Mathcounts team, swims, & plays soccer. She thanks the Lord, her family, Mr. Norris, Mr. Hubbard, & voice coach, Melissa Schultz.
John is in the sixth grade & has been attending ACS since 1st grade. The Wizard of Oz is his 2nd theatrical performance, his 1st being ACS production of Beauty and the Beast (2011) as the Italian seasoning. He has also been a part of the theatre by helping his mother put together costumes for several ACS productions. When not on stage John reads history & mythology & collects Star Wars Legos.
Grace is a sophomore at ACS and this is her 5th AC musical. She is overjoyed to be playing the role of Auntie Em. Her past performances include: Oliver, Once upon a Mattress, Oklahoma, and Mary Poppins. She enjoys singing and acting. She would like to thank her parents for their encouragement and love. She would also like to thank her awesome friends for coming and supporting her.
Christian is a junior at ACS and finds his passion in the Fine Arts. While this is his first musical on stage, he performed in the orchestra for Oklahoma and has a talent for the saxophone. Outside of school, he leads music at his church on Wednesday nights playing guitar. He would like to thank Mr. Hubbard for allowing him to fulfill a leadership role in the Fine Arts department.
Sierra, a freshman, participates in Conservatory at Augusta University. She loves the arts & didn't really want to be the wicked witch but others saw a lot of potential for an evil dictator in her. She thanks Mr. Hubbard for showing her what she's truly capable of. She is often referred to as “hot mess” or “mistake” or “ew" - very loved. One day she hopes to have her own army of flying monkeys.
